As Chief Strategy Officer of Red Fuse, James is responsible for the strategic output of all WPP companies working on Colgate-Palmolive.

He heads an integrated global team of strategists from multiple WPP agencies including Y&R, VML, SuperUnion, Wavemaker and Grey Healthcare, spanning brand strategy and creative, communications planning and digital. He is also responsible for Colgate’s partnership with Kantar, helping to identify future growth opportunities via consumer insight and analytic projects.

Before joining Red Fuse, James worked at GroupM, leading the Colgate-Palmolive relationship globally with oversight of $1bn investment in over 100 markets; prior to that he held client leadership roles within both GroupM and Omnicom in the UK. He has worked with some of the biggest brands in the world across multiple categories – including finance, entertainment, automotive and CPG – and has also consulted for several non-profit and governmental organizations, including current live projects working with UNICEF and the YMCA of New York.

James was born in London, and graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Philosophy. He moved to New York in 2011, where he lives with his wife, two children.
